The Union Society's building is conveniently sited in central
Cambridge.
Easy access is available by an assortment of modes of transport.
Detailed directions for some of these can be found below.
From King's Parade:
Walk down the street with the colleges on your left. Continue past
Trinity College (Trinity Street) and on past St. John's College
(St. John's Street).
The street ends at a crossroads. Opposite, you should see the Round
Church.
Cross the road, and take the path to the right of the Round Church.
The Union Society building is at the end of that path.
From Market Square:
Head across the square, away from Great St. Mary's Church, and
towards the left corner.
Follow Market Street from that corner until it joins Sidney
Street.
Turn left down Sidney Street, and follow it past Sainsbury's on
your left, Halfords on your right, and continue until you see the
Round Church on your right.
Turn right down the path just before the church.
The Union Society building is at the end of that path.
From the Train Station:
Proceed down Station Road to the end.
Turn right, following the signs for the city centre, and walk until
you reach a large traffic junction adjacent to the Catholic
Church.
Cross this junction onto Regent Street, and continue straight ahead
until you reach the pedestrianised zone at Natwest Bank.
Continue into the pedestrianised zone, taking the left fork when
the road splits (Sidney Street, at Lloyds TSB Bank).
Continue down Sidney Street, and follow it past Sainsbury's on
your left, Halfords on your right, and continue until you see the
Round Church on your right.
Turn right down the path just before the church.
The Union Society building is at the end of that path.
From the Bus Station (Drummer Street):
Leave the bus station, turning right at the end of the station
cul-de-sac.
Follow this short street to the next junction, turning right into
the pedestrianised area (St. Andrews Street).
Continue into the pedestrianised area, taking the left fork when
the road splits (Sidney Street, at Lloyds TSB Bank). Continue down
Sidney Street, and follow it past Sainsbury's on your left,
Halfords on your right, and continue until you see the Round Church
on your right.
Turn right down the path just before the church.
The Union Society building is at the end of that path.
From Park Street (Car Park):
From the Multi-Storey car park, head back down Park Street.
On the right you should see the ADC theatre.
Take the path on the right just before the theatre.
Follow this path around to the front of the Union Society building.
From Jesus Lane (Bus stop):
Head along Jesus Lane towards the City Centre.
Continue to the end of the road (at a T-junction).
Turn right down Sidney Street
Continue down Sidney Street until you see the Round Church on your
right.
Turn right down the path just before the church.
The Union Society building is at the end of that path.
By Bus:
From outside Cambridge, buses should stop at Drummer Street Bus
Station, the main bus station in Cambridge. On arriving, follow the
pedestrian directions above from Drummer Street.
Within Cambridge, take buses to Park Street or Jesus Lane, and then
follow the relevant directions from those stops.
By Train:
The Union Society building is a 5-minute taxi-ride, or a half-hour
stroll, from Cambridge Train Station.
Cambridge is serviced by four trains an hour from London
(King's Cross and Liverpool Street), three from Stansted and
regular services from Birmingham. It is easily accessible from most
other stations.
There is a taxi rank immediately outside the station, and a regular
bus service runs between the train station and bus station.

By Car:
Approaching from the A14 Eastbound (The North, West-Midlands and
Wales):
Leave the A14 when the M11 splits off. Follow signs for Cambridge;
you should be in right hand of the two slip road lanes. Follow this
lane as it turns into a single track road (Huntingdon Road); keep
going until you reach a junction (there will be a Texaco garage on
your left).
Turn left at this junction, and continue straight ahead at the next
set of traffic lights (which are almost immediate). This is
Victoria Road; continue until you reach a large traffic island.
From here, follow signs for Park Street Multi-story car park.
Follow the pedestrian directions from the Car Park.
Approaching from the A14 Westbound (Ely, Norwich):
Leave the A14 by turning onto the B1049 toward Cambridge City
Centre. Carry on along this road until you reach a T-junction with
a Texaco garage on your right. Turn left at the junction; this is
Victoria Road.
Continue until you reach a large traffic island. From here, follow
signs for Park Street Multi-story car park.
Follow the pedestrian directions from the Car Park.
Approaching from the M11 Northbound (London, Stanstead):
Leave the M11 at junction 11, following signs for Cambridge City
Centre. Driving along this road (A603 Barton Road), you will
eventually turn left and reach a roundabout. Turn right here (Fen
Causeway), and you will shortly reach a sequence of two
mini-roundabouts.
Take a left at the first mini-roundabout, then right at the second
(Lensfield Road). Drive straight ahead at the next two junctions;
you will eventually reach a large roundabout. Turn left, and you
will come to another roundabout.
Go straight ahead (signposted Park Street car park), and continue
to the third set of traffic lights (this includes the pedestrian
crossing). Turn right here; this is Park Street.
Follow the pedestrian directions from the Car Park.
