Logging in

You will need to log in to the Union to use many of our features and book events. To do so, click the blue 'Login to the Union' button beneath the right hand menu, above the photograph. Most people will then click 'Login with Raven'

Book a place at an event

To book a place, first make sure you're logged in. Next, go to the termcard and click on the event you'd like to book; if you're logged in you'll then be presented with options to book yourself and any guests places.

By popular demand, members are invited to enjoy a tasting session ranging from French classics to the very unusual (although maybe not the chocolate cheese that's popular in Taiwan), with baguette and wine to complement the experience.

NOTE: You are not automatically signed up. Everyone who expresses an interest is pooled and then spaces are randomly assigned nearer the time. Please check your e-mails just before the event. If you are marked as "PENDING", you do NOT have a space.

There are no remaining places for this event. If you have applied for a place, you will have been notified by email of whether or not you have been allocated one.

Booking does not guarantee a place; in the interests of fairness, places are allocated . Using the following method. Preference is given to those who have the hishest number of points. Points are awarded and removed using the following system:

  • 2 points will be added each time you fail to receive a place
  • 0 points will be added or removed if you apply for a place but cancel your request before places are allocated
  • 1 point will be removed if you receive a place but inform the Entertainments Officer you are unable to attend more than 24 hours before the event takes place
  • 2 points will be removed if you receive a place and attend the event
  • 5 points will be removed if you receive a place and fail to attend the event without giving the Entertainments Officer 24 hours notice
  • 10 points will be removed if you receive a place and fail to attend the event without giving the Entertainments Officer any notice

You will be notified by email in advance whether you have a place or not.
