A Chinese Salon Event

Join us for a night of informal chat with the famous dissident and student leader of 89' Tiananmen Movement!

Wang Dan was one of the most visible student leaders in the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989, and was first on the list of the 21 wanted "fugitives" issued after the June 4th crackdown. Repeatedly imprisoned because of his outspoken attitude, he was forced into exile in 1998, and has recently earned a PhD from Harvard. Thrice nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, Wang is currently on the Advisory Board of Wikileaks and president of Beijing Spring, a dissident human rights magazine.

This event will be conducted in Chinese.
