The Cambridge Union Schools Debating Competition is the largest of its kind in the world, with more than 1400 entrants from schools across the UK. The Union prides itself in offering all students a chance to participate: bursaries are given to schools who would not otherwise be able to enter.

On finals day, the overall winner will be decided, as the top four teams in the
country debate a motion released to them just 15 minutes before.

The final debate will be followed by a speech from Vernon Coaker MP, Minister of
State for Schools and Learners.
