Police Force for Peace

In 1934 the Society voted to support an international 'police force for peace' by passing the motion "That this House believes that an International Police Force, adequate to uphold International Law and acting under the direct control of the League, is essential to the reign of Law, and therefore to the Peace and Security of the world." Eight years later, the Society's building was be bombed by Nazi forces during the Second World War.
