1933 Russia Debate

In 1933, a week after voting to "hate" Hitler, the Society debated the motion "That recent events in Russia have shown the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics to be unworthy of the resepect of the civilized world." The motion failed to pass and the headlines read "After Hitler -Russia -- But Union Stops Hating."
