Union Bombing - Belfast NewsLetter

An article dated 25 August 1942 from the Belfast News-Letter describes the bombing of the Society's library during a rare Cambridge attack. The librarian at the time said "I fear we have lost some music books which are irreplaceable, but the bulk have been saved." Today, some of the older volumes in the library display visible wounds from this incident.
