Scotland & Ireland

We are committed to ensuring all schools, regardless of their location, get the opportunity to receive high quality judging. To enable us to do this and send a large number of Cambridge students to judge, rounds in Scotland and Ireland will operate on a different basis to those in England and Wales.

Instead of two preliminary evening rounds, we will be holding larger national events, from which the top teams will be selected to go through to our Finals Day. These full day rounds promise to be exciting and enjoyable for all involved, with all teams guaranteed at least three debates with full feedback from our judges.

Our two national convenors are currently working hard to confirm the details of these rounds. Confirmed dates and venues are listed below.

On September 6th 2010, entries for the rounds in Scotland and Ireland will open. Schools will be free to enter whichever round suits them best, with places allocated on a first come first served basis.
