The Cambridge IV is the prestigious international debating competition held annually at the Cambridge Union. It is open to any university team except those from Cambridge.

  • 5 preliminary rounds, 7 minute speeches, break to quarter finals & ESL break to semi-finals
  • Closed motions
  • 100 teams, 3 team institution cap, n-1 judges for IONA teams
  • £80 registration fee: champagne black tie social, crash, breakfast, hogroast, lots of free drinks
  • Supplementary package (available to all) - £20 per team: debate workshops, entry to the Thursday night Cambridge Union debate, extra crash Thursday night
Registration will open towards the end of July.
