Welcome to the Cambridge Union Society

The Cambridge Union Society is the oldest and most prestigious student debating society in the world and Cambridge University's largest student society. Founded in 1815, it has welcomed speakers from across the world and across generations. From Prime Ministers to Presidents, authors to actors and singers to sportspeople the Society has hosted giants from all walks of life. In addition to its famous debates and lauded individual speaker meetings, the Cambridge Union Society also provides a huge variety of other events for its members: in the past year, these have included a Valentine's Ball, cocktails workshops and jazz evenings.
