A talk from Alexandria Mills, Miss World 2010, and Emma Wareus, Miss Africa 2010

In October 2010, Alexandria Mills was crowned Miss World 2010. She is the sixtieth holder of the title, the first from the USA in two decades, and is currently travelling around the world promoting charitable and humanitarian causes. With an estimated audience of over one billion, Miss World has claimed to be the most watched annual TV show in the world, and has raised almost $500 million for charity since its crea¬tion in the UK in 1951. Eric Morley, the founder of Miss World, famously answered feminist critics by saying: "If it is shameful to women, then the best thing they can do is turn it off".
