Greg Dyke
Greg Dyke was Director-General of the BBC from 2000 to 2004, and is one of the most prominent figures in British journalism and broadcasting. He resigned from his position after the Hutton Inquiry, in which the BBC was severely criticised. Famed for his no-nonsense approach, he promised to "cut the crap" in the BBC's internal administration. Dyke played a key role in the introduction of Freeview and the BBC's six new channels, revolutionising digital television. He has also worked for a number of other television companies including TV-am and Channel 5, and is currently both Chancellor of the University of York and Chairman of Brentford Football Club.
