Dr Hans van de Ven is a Professor of Modern Chinese History, Chairman of the Cambridge Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, Management Committee member of the University’s East Asia Institute.

Hailed as “a shrewd analyst” by the FT, Jasper Becker was the founder of ‘Asia Weekly’ and has written for UK broadsheets and reported for the BBC on Chinese affairs, as well as writing several critically acclaimed books on China.

Dr Kerry Brown is a writer, lecturer and consultant on China and Asia. He is the Head of the Asia Programme at Chatham House, and currently leads the Europe China Research and Advice Network.
