The Union Café Bar
The Union's Café Bar is open to the public
The Union's comfortable and spacious café is the perfect place for a relaxing break in the heart of Cambridge.
Lined with signed photographs of our renowned speakers -- from Jesse Jackson to John Major -- and with distinctive wooden floors, chandeliers and deep leather chairs, the Union's coffee shop is a public café like no other, offering a unique historic setting as an ideal place to socialize, work or relax.
The coffee shop serves a range of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, snacks and freshly baked pastries and filled jacked potatoes which can be enjoyed either inside the coffee shop itself, or outside in the quiet of our garden, which overlooks both the Union building and the 12th century Round Church.
The coffee shop provides free wireless internet access and access to power, and is open to both members and non-members Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
Overall, we were surprised and delighted by this little known and pleasant place. If you miss your student days, or just feel like having a quiet space to come and relax, this is where to come.
