Friday 6th - Saturday 7th November 2009

Welcome to the website of the Cambridge Union Student Art Exhibition!

This Michaelmas the Union is throwing open its doors to student artists from across Cambridge. Being situated right next door to the ADC theatre and only a few minutes walk from the Shop on Jesus Lane, the Café Project and Kettle's Yard, the Union is right at the centre of Cambridge Art. Thus, it seems only natural to host perhaps the biggest student art exhibition of its kind under our roof.

There are no excuses for not entering yourself for the exhibition. The exhibition aims to represent all student art in Cambridge. Whether you are a doodler, amateur photographer or a semi-professional painter; whether you are from CU or ARU, your submissions to the exhibition shall be enthusiastically welcomed. Similarly it does not have to be a bog standard painting - be creative! Anything smaller than a live elephant we are sure to find a space for in our large, historical building.

Art knows no boundaries. You will be able to display a minimum of three pieces of art for free. We will do our best to accommodate everyone and all their paintings so it is important to show us everything that you have got.

Entrance to the exhibition will be free all day and there shall be stimulating talks and workshops throughout as well as interesting music, drinks and nibbles.

The submission deadline is 7pm Thursday 8th October 2009.

More information regarding submission procedures will be provided nearer the date.

In the mean time, we encourage you to register your interest which will allow you to receive important email reminders as well as discount vouchers to local art and print stores. It will also be very helpful for us to plan the exhibition.
